The first edition of KinoGram International Film Festival (KIFF) has just started
A new event appears on the film map – the KIFF short film festival (KinoGram International Film Festival). The jury chaired by Kasia Adamik will evaluate short films from around the world. Applications are accepted from July 30 to October 30, 2021, the results will be announced on November 1, and the Award Ceremony will take place on November 30, 2021 at the KinoGram cinema in the revitalized Norblin Factory in Warsaw.
KIFF is an independent international festival of short films of 3-30 minutes in length. It is open to professionals, students, and amateurs. Films in any technique, of good quality, but not necessarily shot with professional equipment, are eligible for the festival.
The ideal film for our festival is one that has a good, interesting story, a message to the world, shows an exceptional person or situation… and of course is a short film – says Anna Zoll, director and creator of the festival.
The KIFF selection will choose 30 of the best of the submitted films, from which 15 will be chosen, with three winners selected by a jury of well-known and award-winning Polish filmmakers and producers: Katarzyna Adamik, Magdalena Łazarkiewicz, Dariusz Jabłoński and Piotr Jaxa. The financial awards in the amount of 500, 300 and 100 euros, as well as statuettes will be awarded at the KIFF Gala, which will take place on 30 November 2021 in the KinoGram cinema. Additionally, there will be prizes awarded to the audience, who will have the opportunity to vote during the TOP 30 festival screenings throughout November 2021.
Film submissions are accepted on the platform www.filmfreeway.com/KinoGramInternationalFilmFestival till October 30, 2021. Until August 30 there is a lower film submission fee for the festival – 35 EUR. From September 1 to October 30, 2021, the entry fee is €45.
KinoGram International Film Festival (KIFF) was created by KinoGram cinema – a place in the fascinating post-industrial space of the former Norblin Factory in Warsaw, focusing on culture, where you can meet the best Polish filmmakers and industry people with their master classes and lectures – also thanks to the close cooperation with the Polish Directors Guild. It is here that film premieres, discussion panels and rebroadcasts of cultural events will be held from September.
